US Door & Building Components

US Door Headquarters and Factory in Orlando, FloridaIn 1998 US Door & Building Components was formed through a partnership of John Mclane and Charles Cordes bringing together more than 40 years of metal building and roll-up door experience. In 1999 US Door acquired Roll-lite Storage Systems. This acquisition provided US Door with two manufacturing facilities, Mesa AZ and Orlando FL, both equipped with state-of-the-art roll-formers and traditional computer-controlled equipment. Currently US Door & Building Components is dedicated to maintaining a lead position through innovation and introduction of new designs and storage techniques in today’s ever-changing global marketplace.

Value Storage Hallway SystemsThe "Value Storage Interior Hallway System" by US Door has enjoyed instant popularity from general contractors, installers, private owners and many of today’s largest self storage facilities throughout the world. Years of feed back from metal building manufacturers and erectors has led to the development of this value conscious hallway system. The final design of the modular system encompassed both “simplicity and versatility”, leaving the old variable space partitioning system a product of the past. Shorter lead-times combined with fewer parts to handle results in faster installations and on-time completions on over 96% of all projects. In fact, our "Value Storage Interior Hallway System" is so simple to install many small to moderate scale projects have been erected by the crews of facility owners without the requirement of professional installers, adding value to the projects overall budget.

Self-Storage DoorsRoll-up doors have been a consistent part of the US Door product line from its inception. With our full line of corrugated rolling steel doors we can fit almost any opening for nearly all applications. Our Model 501 is designed specifically for self-storage applications with an opening of up to ten feet wide by ten feet high. Our Model 566 is a wind-loaded version of our Model 501 designed to meet the toughest Miami-Dade County Building Codes. The Model 601 is our standard commercial door able to fit openings up to fourteen feet wide by sixteen feet high, while in many sizes resisting forces of up to 30 pounds per square foot. The Model 536 is an economical version of our Model 601 commercial door. Our Model 651 has set the standard for commercial wind-load applications, available for openings up to twenty feet wide by sixteen feet high and able to withstand forces up to 58 pounds per square foot. In 1992 when Hurricane Andrew hit South Florida, our Model 651 quickly became the “Roll-Model” for sheet roll-up doors, maintaining their structural integrity and protecting property during the most powerful storm in recent history.

Portable BuildingsOur newest division, Relocatable Storage Building Systems, is responsible for providing unit mix additions fast and simple. Having a quick return on investment is a big advantage, with constantly changing demographics this can sometimes be difficult. Our Relocatable Storage Systems allow for 100% flexibility when adjusting a unit mix to your specific needs. US Door manufactures a variety of Relocatable Storage Systems: locker units, wine storage units, and portable buildings, all available in a range of sizes and options. These Relocatable Storage Systems can be added to any existing facility at a fraction of the time and cost needed to construct an additional phase. Constructed with pre-punched structural galvanized steel building components these storage systems can quickly be assembled all at once or in multiple phases. With the added advantage of qualifying as equipment, our Relocatable Storage Buildings can usually be depreciated over a shortened seven-year period, adding to their overall profit potential.

Steel Building ComponentsThe same principle of "Simplicity and Versatility" was utilized in the formation of the US Door Structural Steel Building Components division. Many companies have already incorporated the US Door bolt-together structural pier and header system into their self storage buildings. In a price driven industry, competitors typically enlist the practice of slashing material specifications down to minimum requirements in order to be competitive. Contrary to this age-old practice, US Door & Building Components seeks design solutions without compromising quality and structural integrity. Metal building suppliers will have the option to purchase pre-engineered structural piers and headers for private labeling, or submit drawings and specs for custom fabrication. It is important to note US Door & Building Components classifies their Structural Building Component division as an OEM vendor-to-metal building supplier worldwide. The availability of our new designs is limited to qualified wholesale suppliers of engineered self storage buildings.

With over 100 years of total door industry experience, US Door has learned that not every customer wants the same cookie cutter design. We at US Door have gone the extra mile to ensure that our team is as dynamic as our marketplace and our customers. We develop new applications and accessories on a regular basis. Many times the motivation comes directly from a specific customer need. Working close with custom ideas and applications from around the World has led to the well rounded growth of US Door.
